sushi in the OC

Looking for the best sushi in Orange County -- Irvine/Newport areas preferred, but willing to drive. Suggestions?

I've had many great meals at Wasa Sushi in the Tustin Marketplace. There's also one on MacArthur and Bison in the same shopping center as Islands.

TAKA SUSHI at Fairview & Baker in Costa Mesa is a good spot for old school sushi.
Taka has been doing his art for 30 plus years. He has a special menu board in Japanese which is the way to order, just ask him to translate, Tell him Steviesan sent you, I personally prefer the more exotic and different sushi myself. There's also ZEN SUSHI at Newport Blvd. & Harbor in Triangle Square which is like NEW WAVE SUSHI, with creative twist on old classic as well as new creations.

My favorites are Sushi Shibucho, Costa Mesa for traditional omakase and upscale, and Sushi 5, Tustin for really good revolving sushi. I also like Maki Zushi in Tustin, the nigiri chef is really hitting his stride.
