Pastina or Pizzicotto
My BF and I are taking our friends out w/their little 2 year old tomorrow night for dinner.
I made reservations for both (pizzicotto -upstairs)...will Pizzicotto be too crammed for us (4 plus a high chair)?
which one is your fave?
I've never been to Pastina (I don't think) -- where is it? I've been upstairs at Pizzicotto and I recall feeling cramped, but that does not mean that it wouldn't work. I don't recall ever seeing a high chair in there so you may want to call and be sure that they have one. What time is your reservation for? Maybe if you go on the early side it won't be fully seated up there. Or, if the baby is a screamer, the place will clear itself out and you'll have plenty of room! :-)
Pizzicotto is a better restaurant but if you want more room then Pastina is definitely the choice. We were at Pizzicotto for lunch today -- a great, unusual green-colored soup with some pasta and vegetables in it, then half of a gorgeous looking salad of dover sole, cucumber, capers, cherry tomatoes and mixed baby greens, and diced purple potatoes, delicious, cost under $15, where else can you say that?
