Cheerwine Distribution?
According to their website, the Carolina Beverage Company isn't distributing Cheerwine anywhere near here, but this morning, we spotted two empty 12-pack boxes of Diet Cheerwine on the sidewalk in front of the building next door. It's entirely possible that our neighbors lugged a few cases of the stuff back up from the South on a trip, but we're hoping beyond hope that there's someplace here that sells the stuff--someplace the website doesn't even list. Chowhounds?

They sell it via mail order too, or at least they did a few years ago.

Ah, saw a TV show about them, was curious to try it and bought two cases of the diet variety from http://www.cheerwine.com.
Interesting flavor, not as sweet as Dr. Browns, but different.

Tresjolie9, do you live in NYC? Maybe the mystery is solved! :p

Yes, but no, I may have thrown a few cans out, but I haven't thrown out the two cases they shipped yet. I guess I'm not the only one in the NY area ordering Cheerwine.
Also the Cheerwine I bought was of the diet variety.

Hm. So nothing local? I know about the mail order business, but I was really hoping to find that some nearby shop had started carrying the stuff.

I know this post is well over a year old, but you can get Cheerwine at Brother Jimmy's BBQ in NYC. There are eight diff restaurants in the city alone.
