Comedy Connection- food?
I love stand-up and have been to the comedy connection a few times but I cannot recall if they serve food and, if so, what type and is it any good? Want to go with a friend next week and would like to know if I need to make dinner plans for afterwards.
Also, does anyone have any opinions re: their competitors? i.e. which comedy venue is the best (in Boston proper only please).
Thank you!

As far as food goes--The Comedy Vault at Remingtons on Boylston has an awesome hamburger and halfway decent everything else and The Comedy Studio in Harvard Square will pass for chinese food if you're drinking (scorpion bowls, perhaps?) and looking for something greasy to dig into.
As a member of a sketch comedy group, and an occassional standup, Comedy Connection is most certainly not the only comedy venue in town...and the whole Boston comedy scene could really benefit from people being as adventurous in that realm as Chowhounds are in seeking out restaurants.›1 Reply -

I'm not too fussed about a drink minimum...the shows are around an hour and half so 2 drinks is fine...I heard that Jae's on Boylston street does standup too... I do like their food but it seems like an odd location for a comedy show...although I guess kowloon (sp?) has a second comedy connection spot inside. Has anyone been there? or to the comedy place in the north end? I don't know the name....
