Lobster: Francisco's Centro Vasco or El Quijote?

Looking for a venue to have a festive seafood dinnerfor a party of four this Friday. I have heard great things about Francisco's Centro Vasco and El Quijote, both on W 23rd Street.

Would you recommend one over the other (or neither)? Why?

Franciscos and El Quijote have the same owner. The food should theoretically be about the same. But in my experience for lobster Franciscos is the place to go. But I would only go for lobster. The rest of the food will not be memorable.

I live across the street from Francisco's. I dont care for either place, but Franciso's has better food. I left El Quijote several times feeling ill like i just digested a pound of butter

I did not have the lobster when I ate at El Quijote last winter. But I had one of the seafood dishes. I went with 5 other people and we agreed that this ws the WORST meal we had had in a very long time. It does have a reputation for lobster at a good price so perhaps yu will have better luck if you stick to that.
