Atlanta-St. Patricks Day

What is a good place to meet and eat before the St. Patricks Day parade in Atlanta. We are staying at the Georgia Tech Hotel, but we could drive somewhere, too.

  1. The Spotted Dog.
North Ave and W. Peachtree...walking distance from the hotel.

    1. Another option, though it will require a 10 minute drive is Limerick Junction Pub in Virginia Highlands neighborhood. They take over the parking lot behind the pub and set up a stage for mostly traditional Irish bands and pour Guinness, Harp, etc - no cover charge. Corned beef sandwiches available some years as I recall. Plenty of other restaurants and pubs within walking/crawling distance when you get weary of standing in the parking lot.

      1. The Virginia-N.Highlands area always has a lot going on for St. Patricks day. Parking is a bother so it's well worth it to take a cab or car-pool with a DD. For something better than green beer, Decatur (on MARTA) has some great pubs and restaurants.
