Do you need to make reservations at Lupa the same way as at Babbo, one month in advance, or is it easier?

It's the same--30 days in advance, but it's much easier to get through. I read that Lupa will be on Opentable starting in mid-March.

LUpa and Otto are extremely easy to get into as a walk in. I've never had to wait more than 45 min for a table!

i've been able to make day-of dinner reservations several times for early (6.30/7) weeknight meals.

I was just told to show up early as a walk-in when I tried to make reservations for 3 weeks out. I'll probably just go for lunch instead.

I've made reservations for weekend lunches the day before or just a couple of hours ahead of time w/o a problem.

I've only been to Lupa once, for lunch, but my wife and I walked in two weeks ago on a Saturday without reservations. We were told it would be about a 45 minute wait. We went to kill time with a walk around the neighborhood, and were told to check back in 20 minutes. So we did just that and the table was ready for us. It may be a bit more difficult at dinner, perhaps? The food was great by the way.

It's the same but they seem to hold a lot more tables for walk-ins. They are also better about reminding people of this when they call. I have never waited more than 45 minutes for a table there and they do serve the full menu at the bar. Enjoy!
