PASSED BY LA MARMITE . LOOKED LIKE A NICE RESTAURANT. CHECKED OUT THE WEBSITE.
HAS ANYONE DINED THERE RECENTLY? SHOULD I TRY?

    Isn't that in Harlem? If so, you should repost on the Manhattan board, where there's been several discussions on this restaurant.

      Yes you should repost because there have been reports that it is moving a few blocks uptown.

      Does the OP possibly mean La Marmite restaurant, which is a formal French restaurant on Hillside Avenue in Williston Park? If so, the query should be on the Tri-state board. I have been there a few times and it was very good yet unexciting.

        Perhaps it's La Marmite in Rouen, and belongs on the France board?

        This guessing game is fun, but pointless. Hopefully the original poster will return to clear up the mystery, preferably after switching his or her keyboard off CAPS LOCK as a courtesy to readers...

            I passed by this weekend at the new location and it seems like the landlord has taken the restaurant over. I settled for Jamacian home cooking down the block which was pretty good itself --- Sheer Comfort.
