Times Square Mexican, Thai or other

Hi,

First time poster traveling to NYC and wondering if there are some exceptional restaurants walking distance (not from NY, don't believe all things are walkable) from the Marriot. We are fond of Mexican and Thai and have never had Cuban or much else. If anyone can give us some good advice for flavorful food near the Marriot, we would really appreciate it.

Marriott Marquis? Walk to 49th and 9th, great Thai restaurant, I'm having brain lock on name but think it's Real Pam or something like that, very good place but small
