Can anyone recommend any restaurants with northern Chinese cuisine -- anywhere in the Bay Area but especially around Sunnyvale?

I believe that Fatima just had a fire.

If you can travel to San Mateo, a new place, Everyday Beijing has traditional homestyle dishes from the north. Here's a link to a few reports,

Are there specific dishes you're looking for? Darda and New Ma's might not fit the bill since they're Islamic restaurants.

There are two Dongbei restaurants, Nutrition House in Milpitas and Little Potato in Union City. Also various takes on Little Sheep hot pot. I haven't tried any of them personally, but you'll find several posts by searching for those names.

I like Little Potato, especially since it's so cheap. 3 big dishes for $18, and quite tasty at that. Our favorite is the Dong Bei Style Spare Ribs, very tender!
