East River Cafe on 1st Ave / 61st St ... Seafood?

Has anyone had the seafood dishes at the East River Cafe ... ? *ANY* good seafood on the UES would be much appreciated. TIA. .... 59th to 96th streets is fair game.

I'm not familiar with the East River Cafe so I'm not sure what kind of place you are going for, but I've heard that the grilled fish from Nargila Grill on York betw. 84th and 85th is great. It's a kosher restaurant, so obviously no shellfish. We've been a number of times but stuck to meat, salads and Israeli specialties, all of which are fresh and good. I've seen the fish (whole grilled fish) going to other tables and it looks nice. Homemade flatbread and french fries are great. Atmosphere is casual.

I really liked the Tuna in crust there but my companions didn't enjoy their food (although it wasn't seafood as far as I remember). We all didn't like the atmosphere. It was too noisy.
