Rank the Steakhouses

How would you compare each of these in terms of food?

Cut
Mastro's
Pacific Dining Car
Palm
Windows

  1. i have not gone to cut or dakota but here are my favorite:

    mastro's
    ruth's
    nick & steph
    arroyo chop house

    second tier:
    boa
    dal rae
    windows
    morton's
    flemmings
    palm
    pdc

    1. My three faves are:

      Cut
      Mastro's
      Ruth's Chris

      All the other ones just have something I really don't like about them.

      1. Depends on what you're looking for: A Lugeresque, charred, toothsome porterhouse? Mastro's. A richer, more elegantly roasted piece of meat with dazzling sides? Cut. Perfectly cooked filet mignon? Ruth's Chris. Sometimes there's nothing better than a chewy, thin entrecote & frites at the bar with a glass of wine (Lucques).

        I don't know if I can narrow it down to a strict ranking...

        1. I'd put Nic & Stefs above Palm -- why not on your list at all?
