BYOB for a group

Hello Chicago chowhounds. I am throwing a 30th birthday dinner for a group of 13. I need to find a *BYOB-low-or-no-corkage-fee* in the city (Bucktown, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Old Town, gold coast). I
would especially like to find a place that takes reservations, but it's not a necessity.
Asian fare is out (birthday boy doens't love sushi, thai, chinese, etc.)
Too bad Tango Sur is booked this Saturday!
Also, has anyone tried El Llano? I hear the decor is awful but the food is ok.
thanks in advance!!!

If you're willing to travel as far North as Devon Ave., I'd recommend Speakeasy. Definitely a fun place, and decent food.

We attended a great BYOB group birthday party/dinner at Speakeasy about a year ago. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that it's since closed.

I'd recommend Dorado on Foster. It's BYOB and they take reservations for large groups. The food was great and they have an open kitchen. We had a blast there for my friend's 40th last year.

I don't know if they can accommodate such a large group but the Think Cafe is outstanding and is only BYOB. It is costly but the food is outstanding. Check out their review and info on www.metromix.com. Don
