Fresh Lychee in Delaware?

dragon64 Mar 5, 2007 11:48 AM

I konw it's a bit early yet but my family was discussing the merits of this loveliest of fruits. Does anyone know the closest place to Delaware (or in Delaware) that sells these? Thanks....

Try Chow's Farm in Elsmere, 1211 Kirkwood Highway. I grew up in Delaware, and don't live there anymore, but I'm pretty sure it's still there.

I saw fresh lychee at Janssen's in Greenville this week.

Your best bet might be Young's market in Elsmere...
Its in the same stripmall as Value City.
Good Hunting, Delaware is truely a foodie wasteland.

I find Lychee in various forms, red pebbled skins, green pebbled skins and red Hairy on-the-outsides, at a little produce market on 69th street in Philly between Yeadon and Upper Darby. About $1 a pound.
