Thailand? Does anyone eat there? [moved from International Bd.]

I've an upcoming trip to Thailand and I can't find a single reference to Thailand anywhere on chowhound. Does anyone have any recommendations/experiences they can share?

"I've an upcoming trip to Thailand and I can't find a single reference to Thailand anywhere on chowhound." Was this sarcasm? I think the predominance of Greater Asia threads seem to be on Thailand. I'd recommend searching by what cities you're visiting.

PS: Curt, I emailed you privately and haven't heard back. I'll be in Thailand in 3 days.

The OP originally posted on the "International" board so it wasn't through lack of trying. I think that category was designed for Austin Powers.

(though the search feature does have many references to Thailand...)

I loved the glass noodle soups from the street vendors in Thailand. I can't find their equal anywhere else!!

Everything tasted very good and I was not even a fan of Thai food when I went there.

Living in Bangkok half the year, I eat often in Thailand.

I have posted ad naseum about dining around Bangkok.
I leave other countries and cuisines to the experts!

I'm into local carts, stalls and small shops.

In Bangkok, stay or eat at the Emerald Hotel. Comfortable, nicely decorated large rooms at very low prices include an amazing buffet breakfast, and the hotel restaurant is a good food find all by itself.
