Rice and Noodles - Lancaster

My wife and I, with a hankering for Vietnamese food, tried out R & N in Manheim Township last night. Everything was great: the iced tea, spring rolls (several kinds by the full or half order), salad, and soup. Food is cooked to order, amply portioned, priced well, and it's worth it if you have to wait a little bit. The only downside is the small size of the place; only about 10 or 12 tables. However, we did not have to wait long, only about 10 minutes (if that) for a table. A bonus, that my wife kept mentioning was the simple decor and general cleanliness of the place, unlike several other V places we've patronized in the past. Also, the menu is relatively large for a Vietnamese restaurant (in this area, anyway).
I will definitely be stopping by to try their banh mis and picking up takeout on the way home.
I just love, love, LOVE that place! I stop by there frequently for take out or for a quick meal before my night classes. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Also, the prices are reasonable. Mmmmmm... I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!
I have to say the same, any place that had that good of a reputation in New Orleans we are thankful to have them here in Lancaster.
My husband is a Pho junky, and since he had a Vietnamese roommate in college, is a little picky about authenticity as well. Rice and Noodles is definitely his favorite. And as a pp mentioned, I appreciate the overall cleanliness and professional quality that is sometimes lacking in other establishments.
mmm... love that place. we usually do take out, unless it's just DH and I-- it's too claustrophobic with 3 small kids
haven't had a bad thing there yet! just wish they would get a bigger (or second) location
