Cary/Triangle: Gypsy's Shiny Diner

Lovers of the classic fifties-style diner should take note of Gypsy's Shiny Diner in Cary. It looks the part and it tastes the part. I made my first visit this weekend. I can't give a comprehensive account of the menu, but I can say that the place serves excellent homemade potato chips. These are not to be missed. They rival the fine chips at Sandwich in Chapel Hill.
I look forward to digging into the rest of the menu -- pancakes, fries, milkshakes, etc. Prices are very reasonable. Our bill came to $20 and we left stuffed.

Here's the website:

Aside from the chips, which are admittedly great, and the atmosphere, there isn't that much to recommend it. It's standard diner fare. That is, it won't kill you, but it's distinctly forgettable. Fun once or twice but nothing special at all.

Aside from the potato chips, what else do you recommend from the menu? Did you go for lunch or dinner?
