Sel De La Terre is an excellent suggestion and it is not part of Restaurant Week and may therefore be available. They have a private dining area that would work well for a group. I also like Les Zyg but it's doing Restaurant Week and will probably be unavailable.
For groups like this, Locke-Ober is always a good idea. The private rooms on the third floor are legendary and the food is greatly improved under the new management. And they are not doing Restaurant Week.

next week is restaurant week and many places are sold out. you may have a tricky time getting in any place.
within walking distance of you is sel de la terre, right near the aquarium. les zygomates and her sister restuarant sorriso in the leather district are also quite close. chinatown might be a good option too, but other posters have better experience down there than i do.

re: hotoynoodle
I should have provided more detail regarding price range, cuisine, etc. I'm not concerned with the price range as the people I'm hosting are important clients. They are open to just about any type of cuisine. These people have been coming once a year for quite some time. I've taken them to several North End restaurants, Icarus, The Ritz, Boston Harbor Hotel, Grill 23, and even to my mother's (great italian cook).
