Great coffee in central Philadelphia

Looking for recommendations on good place (ambience, people watching, musicetc) to sit in and enjoy really great coffee in Central Philadelphia - our hotel is in the old city area.

Also check out Doubleshots, on Chestnut Street between 2nd and 3rd. Decent coffee, very comfortable space. I want to like Old City Coffee more than I do (ambience, not coffee), but they also have a branch in the Reading Terminal Market, which you should probably check out anyway...

I wish that Doubleshots was a little cleaner. I often see dirty old milk steamers being refilled again and again with milk (not being cleaned). I wish the place was kept up a little better.

Check out Old City Coffee on Church Street between 2nd and 3rd (Church street is just above (north) Market St and runs parrallell to it) or Java on 4th just above (again north of) South St. Otherwise head over to Rittenhouse Square area...La Colombe and Snackbar
