I'm going to see Pan's Labyrinth on Sunday March 4th with my dining club, and we thought we'd continue with the spanish theme and go for spanish/equadorian food after the movie in peekskill.. I can't remember the name of it,but I read somewhere on here that it opened a few months ago..on Division Street, and it used to JK's, but I've never been there, and don't know if anyone's checked it out..

There's also a new middle eastern place that was mentioned on this board, in Peekskill, amazingly enough! I'm wondering about that as well..

Any info on either of these places is greatly appreciated !

Thanks!

The Spanish place is apparently now called La Herradura based on what I see on Rewards Network webiste (fka iDine, see link below). If you or one of the people you're eating with have that, you'll save 10%. Interestingly, the menu posted on their site is still from the original name they used when they switched from JK. As for falafel, the place is/was Royal Falafel and I was just wondering when I drove past Division Street whether they were still open.

If you eat at either of them, please come back and let us know how it was!

Ok so we went to La Herradura after the movie.. it was decent, simple mexican food.. chicken, pork, beef, seafood.. I had fried chicken with rice & beans, and a really wonderful palm-leaf wrapped empanada stuffed with chicken... my friends had quesedillas and salad with that white sauce (like sour creme but not?) and roasted chicken w/rice...with some sort of chicken broth/sauce. Decent.. but very simple... server didn't speak any english, we were the only non-hispanics in the place. good thing I had friends that speak spanish with me!

Didn't drive up to the monument to see if Royal Falafel was still there.. will do that on another trip..
