I hit the link that appeared, but I don't know what it did.
What does Permalink do? Thanks in advance.

I regret that I don't really understand the explanation. And, when I tried it, it doesn't work .... When I right click, I do not have an option to "copy link location" Thanks for trying to help me though.

On my PC w/ WIN XP it says "Copy Shortcut" not "Copy Link Location".

Sorry about the confusion. What you see depends on which browser you're using. Mac / Windows results might also be different.

Firefox users will see an option for "Copy link location"
Internet Explorer users will see an option for "Copy Shortcut", as sel noted.

If you want to have a link directly to a specific post, right click (or CTRL-click with a Mac) on Permalink, and "copy link location".
