hotate hokkaiyaki in san francisco?

I used to order hotate hokkaiyai from Ginza, a sushi restaurant in Boston and am looking for a San Francisco restaurant that serves a similar dish. It's described as, "lightly seasoned sea scallop baked in its own shell with Japanese spicy mayo." It's very rich but really delicious.

  1. i love this dish so much that i traveled to Boston's Ginza last year and ordered up. Delicious. Best thing on the menu, hands down. For sushi, I'll stick with my Bay Area faves, and in the meantime - D.I.Y. Goodness! http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/05/din...
