No live music, but my vote goes to the Spotted Pig in the W Village. Delicious roquefort burger. I also like the gnudi and chicken liver toast a lot.

I concur...I usually end-up ordering exactly the same 3 things you've mentioned everytime. I like their duck bottarga and banoffe pie (seasonal) too.

Banoffe? Is that the pie with bananas and caramel? I had no idea they had that (even seasonally). WIll have to order it next time I see it on the menu.

yes, that's the one. they don't have it on the menu yet. last time they had it was last fall and i'm waiting for it to return. it's probably my 2nd favorite dessert in the city at the moment (next to the sticky toffee pudding @ schiller's).

Just wanted to respond, I was at Waterfront last night (fri) and there was a fantastic blues band. Plus, I must agree, the best, most consistent bar food in the city.

There was a band at Waterfront in Manhattan on 2nd & 30th? I've been going there for years & have never seen live music there?!

Acme Underground on Great Jones and Lafayette has both good food and live music. I like their Po'boys sandwiches and they have a ton of hot sauces to choose from!

            Try the cornbread!

I second that - anything with their cajun spice is awesome.

Waterfront Ale House has good bar food but no live music.
