I'd like to try Central Park tonight and wanted to find out if it was kid friendly (i.e. terrible twos)?

Make sure you have a reservation! We tried to walk in a couple of weeks ago on a Friday and were turned away at 5:30. They said that they are often fully booked. May not be a problem on Thursday...

FWIW, there were families there with kids in the 8-12 range. And the place is operated by a group that does family-friendly well in South Pas and Alhambra with Shakers/WildThyme/Main Street Diner and Carmines. It's definitely more upscale than those places, however, so your kids may not feel so at home (unless they love restaurants--my daughter was always easy, even at two or three and we ate out with impunity--with our son it was not as easy).

It's fairly noisy, and borderline cramped, so you might want to use your judgment. Some kids can deal with it, some can't, just like the rest of us. I would've taken my kid there when he was two-ish, but he was unnaturally calm...

To be honest with you...we took our almost 3 daughter there for breakfast and I didn't think it was especially kid friendly. We go to Shakers a lot for breakfast (we walk there from our house) and the breakfast at Central Park is the same as Shakers, but for a higher price. And they wouldn't even make her favorite breakfast--silver dollar pancakes--because they could only make "regular-size" pancakes. Huh??? Don't you just pour the batter in whatever size you want?

Can't say what it's like for dinner...I think we made our one and only trip.
