Dilemma

Two of us are splurging for pre concert birthday celebration.... Want delicious, but not fussy or formal, good meal. If necessary, I am willing to go up to $100.00 per, but want to feel it was well worth it.
I'm considering Prov., AOC, or Angelini O., never been to any of them. Suggestions?
Thanks very much.

AOC. I think it's clearly the most celebratory and probably best style for a nice pre-concert meal.

I'm not sure you could stay in your budget at Providence, unless you are not drinking or opt NOT to have the very popular tasting menu. Providence also is by FAR the most formal and fussy of the three restaurants you are considering. It also has the best food, so weigh that against the other considerations.

I think for a celebratory dinner, the ambiance at AOC wins out over Angelini Osteria (unless your idea of celebratory includes small spaces, close tables and a loud atmosphere). The food is equally as good at AOC and Angelini Osteria, though, so if you are comfortable getting cozy with your neighbors and are in the mood for Italian, then go for Angelini Osteria.

Providence..it may be a little stuffier, but the atmosphere is relaxed and the food is great.

Can't go wrong with any. FYI: I like Luques better than AOC for the follwoing reasons:
          Comfort
          Full Bar
          Large plate format.

AOC. Neither fussy nor formal. And delicious. The nature of the small plate and wine options should make the evening feel celebratory...
