Could you be more specific as to what you are looking for? I.E. good spots to eat, for cocktails, what type of cuisine, etc.

      Hi

We will be in the area around lunch time on Saturday and possible around for dinner too so looking for any recs on good places to eat. Anything from moderate to upscale. Its been awhile since I have been in that area so I am wondedrding if there are any new places that would warrant a visit.

Ok, a couple of ideas then. For a nice lunch, there is Chatterly's on Rt 44 in New Hartford, just outside of Winsted. Very nice, Victorian era atmosphere with a nice bar area as well, and very good food, running the range from pub style to gourmet. For dinner, there is the Venetian in Torrington, which has been there forever, so you probably would remember it, but it's consistently good Italian in a formal setting.

          Hi

Many thanks. I grew up in Torrington and have been going to the Venitian ever since I was a kid. I agree, that unless things have changed, it has always been a very good Italian restaurant. Thanks also for the tip on Chatterly's. We may give both spots a visit.
