Best Service in Westchester/ Fairfield Counties?

momof3 Mar 1, 2007 05:26 AM

I had such a great dining experience last night for my father's bday dinner.
The food was very good, but the service was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and polite.
Since I am in the service end of the biz, this is even more important to me than the food.
Wondering my fellow westchester/southern ct. hounders love their service.
My faves based on service:
rowayton seafood, rowayton ct
ruby's oyster bar, rye ny
sonora, port chester
lusardi's, larchmont

The only place I can remember where the service has always been excellent is Pascal's in Larchmont. Given the ambience and the cuisine, the service was surprisingly relaxed and friendly as well as accomodating.

Sonora has had pretty good service too.

I like La Colline Verte. Very good service. Also, Pasquale's in Norwalk and Cava in New Canaan.

Underhill's Crossing in Bronxville, a terrific experience from A to Z. Great oyster selection, great food, beautiful room, terrific service. Make a res before you go!

Hmmm. Of late, I had 'the' nicest service at Plates in Larchmont....but Frank said he is leaving to open his own place.

We had very good service at Global Gatherings in Hartsdale.

Excellent service at Totonno's in Yonkers.

We always get very good service at Le Provencal in Mamaroneck.

MO3, service is a hot button of mine, and bad service can kill the food, no matter how good, and make me swear off the restaurant.

Hate to disagree... but I have had some of the worst service in my life at Pulpo on multiple occasions. I went back thinking it was an off night since my friends love the place. They can't seem to get plates to the right tables, they pull chairs from tables in the middle of a meal, there is not enough room for the staff in the upsatirs room to move around sufficently, they don't serve the table together, management makes the staff crazy in the middle of service, etc.
All that being said - the food is good.
