Intimate Lunch Place

rpd Feb 28, 2007 06:24 AM

I'm looking for good places to take a friend for a special lunch as a mini-baby shower for her (just the 2 of us). I had thought of Restaurant Eve bistro but it is closed on Sundays and that is the only day we can go. What are good places that really do a good lunch/brunch on Sunday?

Bebo. The antipasti are terrific and plentiful. You probably won't need any more food than that, so I wouldn't fool around with the pastas or meats, but you can always get dessert and excellent coffee. Also, it will be very peaceful at that time of day.

Indigo Landing for the $35 Low Country Brunch and fantastic views.

I agree that the view at Indigo Landing is nice but I actually found their brunch (which is buffet) to be fairly ordinary.

I really like the brunch and or lunch at Bistro Bis. It's probably not as fancy/expensive as Restaurant Eve but I found their brunch delicious the last time I was there and I had great service.

Why not have high tea? There are several places, Ritz, Mayflower, etc
you should be able to search chowhound with "tea Ritz" as search words and find more info on peoples ideas :)
