re: Dan2007
If you are a regular at any sushi restaurants, you can try asking the chef if you can piggy back on their order and buy "wholesale". They will charge a small premium, but I've bought salmon this way, and it ended up being a very cost effective way to get a lot of sushi grade salmon. Of course, i also paid him to filet it for me, but if you can do it yourself, you'll save yourself some cash.
I didnt think City Fish did retail along with their wholesale? If they do, you can just skip the step above and go directly to the source.

There used to be a small fish market on Elbow Drive past Southland...but the name escapes me. It was just before the trashy Dairy Queen in the strip mall few blocks away...something tells me they may have closed (big help, I know). You could call Boyd's and ask them if they can special order sushi grade for you (they may also know who can get it for you assuming they can't/won't) or you can venture up to T&T Supermarket and see what they have. If you ever find a source for sushi grade tuna...do tell! Cheers.
