Looking for a Scoma's crab sandwhich alternative!

Hi there

Looking for a alternative to Scoma's crab sandwich. My mother is hooked on the sandwich and I am convinced that there must be a another place with a better crab sandwich.

Help! I want to impress my Mom since it's her birthday.

Pier 15 on Harbor in San Rafael has a delightfull one for 20 dollars. ( not on menu but usually there-I would call ahead to be certain on that particular day)

Great crab sandwich on grilled sourdough at Nick's Rockaway Beach in Pacifica.

You're right, the rest isn't great buti we love the vibe. Decent clams. We also liked the Prime Rib. Breakfast is excellent.

Having never had a crab sando while at Scoma's, can you describe it for us? It may help you from being misdirected. The crab sando @ Fenton's is markedly different than the crab roll @ Old Port Lobster Shack.

I will explain exactly what this sandwich to avoid msidirection-
The crab sandwich from Ferry Plaza Seafood is not a crab roll. This is a typical fresh crab meat sandwich with some mayo and chopped onions very slight, all pilled onto a soft sandwich roll. Very clean and simple, good flavor you can taste a bit of the sea, the mayo adds a nice balance of flavor and moisture. I hate when crab meat has been drowned in something or let out on the clothes line (too dry). They offer two other Sandwiches as well, Shrimp and Smoked Salmon.
I think the crab is around 12 or $13.00.

I have not had a crab sandwich at Scoma, but Ferry Plaza Seafood has a very good one. The last time I was there I ordered one, it tasted very clean and fresh on a soft nice roll.
