Someone from work mentioned this place and I'm probably gonna try it out tomorrow night for dinner. Has anyone eaten there? if so, any recommendations?
I went to Cafe Spot a few years ago and had a pretty good lamb dish. There's this steamed milk and custard type dessert that was really good but be sure to order it ahead of time because it take at least 30 min to make. Like many HK style diners, the menu is really big
yep, haven't actually been, but have heard that the hong kong pancakes are a definite score... and supposedly look like giant bubble wrap, undoubtedly taste much better. It's a few blocks east of Atlantic on Valley.
Cafe Spot 500 W. Valley Blvd. Alhambra, CA 91803 626-308-3233
Try the HK pancakes (which resembles a egg-cart packaging material but is quite tasty), the curry fish balls and the rice clay pots, esp the ones that come with raw eggs ...
If this is Sport Cafe off of Valley and Del Mar, it was bad. The service was terrible. Everything was sloppy, and I got the feeling that it was really dirty. The tables and chairs were icky, which made me wonder how dirty the kitchen must be.
