Where to get Colored Tortillas?

  • 8

I'm trying to find colored Tortillas. I've seen blue and red Tortilla chips many times but never the raw Tortillas. I know I can make them from scratch but would prefer to buy them already made. Any suggestions?

I live in the OC but would be willing to drive if necessary.

Thanks!

  1. Superior Super Warehouse usually has red and green colored tortillas.

    1. Bristol Farms, Smart and Final and some of the regualar markets are places that I have found them.

      1. Northgate Gonzalez markets have them. There's one on East Street just south of the 91, one on Lincoln near Anaheim Blvd., and one on Euclid north of Ball Road... I'm sure there are others as well.

        1. If you have a Whole Foods in your village, I've seen them there. Also found pesto (green) uncooked tortillas at the 99C store! Have you checked with Mother's. They might have them:
Costa Mesa - E. 17th Street Costa Mesa
Huntington Beach - 19970 Beach Blvd. Huntington Beach
Irvine - 2963 Michelson Drive Irvine
Laguna Woods - 24165 Paseo de Valencia Laguna Woods

          1. The flavors of red and green might be different too depending on what kind of store you go ot and if the tortillas are referred to as "wraps" or tortillas.
I think "wraps" would be more likely tomato and probably pesto flavors while tortillas in places like Superior and Northgate would be red chili and jalapeno and mainly come in corn.
Super A used to have the red and green tortillas on the weekends, but the store by my house seemed to have quit making them.
"Wraps" seem easier to find in more American stores and the colored corn tortillas are usually found at the markets make the tortillas in the store.

            1. They always have them at Vallarta Markets but I don't see any in OC.

              1. Gigante used to have them and now no longer... they were great because they weren't just colored, they were Jalapeno and Guajillo spiced!! I bought them all the time, they made the BEST tostadas...

Two in Santa Ana and others may be closer. There's one in North Long Beach on Cherry. Theirs are flavored.
