No trans-fat puff pastry in the city??

Where can I get puff pastry in the city WITHOUT trans fats? The only puff pastry I've seen is frozen Pepperidge Farm and it's full of trans fat.

  1. There is definitely a puff pastry available without trans fats, the name of the producer escapes me, but I think you can find it at Cal- Mart or Bryans. It comes in a little aluminum tray with a white cardboard cover with red lettering. It works pretty well, but frankly if I wasn't going to make homemade puff, I'd drive over to La Farine in Oakland and buy it from them.

Dufour Puff Pastry is the stuff. All butter.

    2. Whole Foods has some. Not sure of the brand but they don't carry products containing industrial trans fats.

      1. Bi-Rite carries Dufour which is all butter.
