Hi all,
We are looking for either a small restaurant or one with a private room for 40-50 people. Any suggestions you have would be great.

Cuisine: Open (French, Italian, Japanese)
Vibe: Casual eleghant – being a wedding reception we want to treat our guests but it doesn't have to be fancy. If we can rent the whole space a cozy place would be fine too.
Budget: Around $60
Location: Downtown if possible

Thank you in advance!

I haven't been to I Coppi in a long time, but last time I was there the food was great, and the garden is GORGEOUS. I vote for that.

You might want to check out Gascogne, on 8th Av., b/t 17th & 18th Sts., which serves excellent French cuisine. It is small, very charming, can accommodate a guest list your size, and you can take over the entire restaurant. Depending on when your wedding will take place, you might be able to take advantage of their truly lovely back garden. I can't say if your budget is feasible there, but it's certainly worth investigating.
