Montreal Brunch?

Looking for a good brunch recommendation in Montreal. Have been very disappointed by my three former top runners- Arts Cafe (new owners or something? same menu items listed but made differently), Petit Marche (since expanding having gone very downhill in food quality), and Deux Singes de Montarvie... though maybe just got them all on bad days.

Suggestions?

    My faves are Byblos on Laurier East, Le Cartet in Old Montreal, Leméac in Outremont and Réservoir on the Plateau.

    Type "brunch" in the search box at the top of the page and you'll get tons of suggestions.

      Had Sunday Brunch recently at Restaurant du Vieux Port in Old Montreal. Food was very good, and the prices are reasonable.

          Three on the Plateau:

          Bagel Etc. on St. Laurent (fantastics eggs benedict on bagels, kitchy plateau decor)
          l'Anecdote on Rachel (great fruit, along with the usual brunch faves, diner-style atmostpere, read a tintin book while you wait)
          Café Art Java on Mont-Royal (best coffee in the city, lovely soufflés, great soups and sandwiches for something more hearty , slightly more upscale but still casual atmosphere)

            I'm a fan of: Mckiernan near the Atwater market, Le Cartet on McGill, L'avenue, and Moi Toi Cafe these places never disappoint and they are of various price ranges.

              went sunday for a late brunch to benedicts..shoulda stayed home cause service was lousy with a capital L on the patio...LOUSY...food: who could make a bad poached egg?

                i take that back yes, i have had lousy poached eggs Eggspectations where very ofthen the chef cooking thinks he needs to serve it a la vinegar and an ounce of remaining water

                i went to la cantine over the weekend, it was pretty good. Their orange pineapple ginger shooter was really creative, and also really good.. i'm doing that now every morning
