Pancetta in Calgary?

Does anyone know where I could buy pancetta in Calgary? Places downtown or NW would be easiest to get to. Thanks

Thanks for asking the question. I learned something. That's why I read this forum. :-)

There is also an Italian vendor in the Calgary Farmers Market...I forgot the name of the vendor. He is sort of near to Simple Simon Pies. His pancetta is very good.

Francesco's- also a market on 26th Ave SW near 33rd Street or maybe 37 St (the same very very ugly strip plaza with bagel world and the bible thrift store)

There's always Mercato, too. Pancetta there is close to normal price...

Just managed to get over to Lina's today, spent a fortune on Italian goodies in the shop & their cafe is amazing! The rice & mozzarella croquettes are to die for. Thanks again for the recommendation

Yes, we definitely miss living just blocks away from there. It has probably saved my husband from gaining a good 15 pounds though.

I'm thinking Lina's is at Edmonton Trail and 20th ave or am I thinking of some other place? The store I am thinking of is also likely to have pancetta.

That's the Italian Supermarket. Lina's is on Center Street between 22nd and 23rd Avenue N.

Lina's is definitely your best bet, with a variety to boot. THey are located on Centre St, can't remember the exact address, but around 20th Ave? And it's on the northeast corner. While you are there, you can have lunch. Their food is always good.

There is also the Italian Supermarket on Edmonton Trail and closer to 16th Ave.
