Best Nacho's

Where would chowhounds go for a couple of decent beers and a great plate of nacho's ?? West Roxbury/Roslindale/JP gets extra points !!

I don't think they serve beer at Centre Street Cafe, but the nachos there have those ummmmmmgood smoky black beans they're known for. And their tomatoes are always ripe, somehow. Delish, and in JP.

Centre St. has wine so I'd think there are some beers on the menu too.

Or, surprisingly, Soho (Brighton) has some really excellent nachos.

I second the recommendation for Nachos at the Sunset Grill. Huge plate with enough to feed 2-4 people (depending on diner's appetites). My recommendation is to dig out the chili and chicken at the bottom of the plate early in the process. If you ask for extra sour cream or salsa on the side, the waitstaff will accomodate.

If you are just looking more for an appetizer, you can get a 1/2 order which I haven't seen at too many other places.

Not too far from the area is Donohue's in Watertown, which has excellent nachos to go along with their beer towers.

Totally agree. They are a great big tasty mess. I just love something about this place... Can't quite place. Family run, dude knows everyone who walks through the door and treats everyone like family. Halloween party for the kids in the back room was hilarious to sneak a peak of. Can't put my finger on it, but it's got a good peeps vibe for sure.
