Breakfast before work near King & Yonge

TOchowgal Feb 22, 2007 03:43 PM

I started a new job near King and Yonge and sometimes start work at 8 a.m. or 8:30 a.m. and usually take lunch at 1 p.m.

I am looking for a cheap and filling breakfast - eggs, toast, bacon, pancakes, coffee etc. that will keep me going till lunch time. I will be by myself and need a place where I feel comfortable as well.

Thanks!

Nanno over on Front, btwn Bay & Church has terrific western omlettes and breakfast plates. But all the food courts all serve breakfast too -- you can get a good fried egg & hummos sandwich at any of the Greenleaf locations or at the FreshN___ in BCE.

not sure what you mean about feeling comfortable -- do you mean like a sitdown service or are you worried about safety?

One option is downstairs in the Scotia Plaza food court just by the subway entrace is Marcello's. They do breakfast sandwich type stuff. Definately inexpensive and actually not too bad.

There's a place called Over Easy that's right in that area, but I've never been. Curious if any CHers checked it out yet?

I read through the reviews here for Over Easy and apparently its ok but not that good.

Heidi's Deli at Commerce Court is pretty good...they also have breakfast platters too. :-)

There's a place called Heidi's in Commerce Court food court that sells full, cheap breakfasts. Not bad and you can sit in the food court by yourself, no problem.
