birthday dinner - mexican
we have a group of former texans looking for a good place to go to get mexican food with good guac and good margaritas. we are all students so nothing too expensive. we want somewhere near where one of us lives so - lakeview/lincoln park/river north/wrigley/loop - anywhere off the red line would be great. Thanks!

If you are former Texans you must try Uncle Julio's Hacienda at North/Clybourn near the El stop there. They are from Texas and have great chips, salsa, guac and margaritas. They can accomodate large groups in the dining room, or the bar area is large if you just want to hang out.

- Argyle stop is Riques Regional. Excellent mexican food. And it's BYOB. I have seen people bring in coolers with the mixings for margaritas. Small place tho and not tex-mex. You can get rowdy but it's not like a Ceasars kind of place. It's off Argyle/Sheridan. Call for reservations for a big group.
- Bryn Mawr stop: That Little Mexican Cafe. Never been cause it seemed too expensive for what it was ($11 for a buritto). I think it's Bryn Mawr/Sheridan. Seems lively and fun for a group.
- Addison stop : Two La Jardins plus another place that I can't remember. Pretty decent food at the larger La Jardin. And potent margaritas. Fun for a group. Probably your best bet.
