just need a place for some nice cocktails, maybe a snack-girls night out

    Argyles is a good choice. Tellers in Islip has a good bar and you can eat in the bar room as well.

      Bayberry Cafe in Islip, just west of Tellers, is very cozy with nice food. If Dirk is bartending then you have it made.

          just looking for some suggestions, doesn't mean i don't know how to drive.the island isn't THAT big:)

            Sorry... I live on the East End, did you want to go that far? North Fork or South Fork? Lots of new places opening up out here. Or are you in Nassau County? Or somewhere in between? Prefer north or south shore more? Figure if you're drinking you might want to stay close to home base.

                  Argyle's in Babylon has a great bar and food. From there you could walk to Horace and Sylvias which would also fit your request.
