Food Publications for LA?
I'm curious, what food publications or critics do you trust when trying to figure out new places to try?
Jonathan Gold in the L.A. Weekly
various writers in the L.A. Times, but especially Linda Burum, who also writes for Los Angeles magazine
I use Chowhound most of all. As for newspaper critics, I agree that Gold is the gold standard. Chowpatty's website is also fun and helpful for updates on the Sliverlake area. I really find suprisingly little that is useful from the LA Times.
