Chicago Steakhouses - Cigars Permitted

We are heading out to Chicago in June to celebrate a year of good news. There will be between 25 -30 of us. We are looking for a steakhouse near/in downtown that has private rooms and allows Cigar Smoking. Any suggestions????

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the recommendations. I called Ditka's as well, and she stated that smoking in the private room would be fine. Huh? I will have to verify before I commit to anything.

      Thanks.

Smoking is allowed only at the bar, and not at all in the private dining areas. I just called Ditka's and they verified this information. This is the result of an ordinance passed last year in Chicago and applies to any restaurant within the city.

You may wish to consider a steakhouse in the suburbs; some of the suburbs have similar legislation, but many others do not. If you look at this recent discussion topic on steak houses in Chicago, you will find my post with links to the websites of most of the top steak houses in the area, and showing which have locations in the suburbs: www.chowhound.com/topics/359377

Thanks for the information. I have had a hell of a time finding a place that even allows Cigar smoking none the less in a dining room I think Ditka's is going to work out great.

          Thanks again.
