i'm going to a midnight dropkick murphy's show the 9th, a friday. Are there any places in that area for real cheap food and maybe another place for a couple beers? I know, its the loop.

There are two walkable options. First you can try Mother Hubbard's, 5 West Hubbard St. (Hubbard and State St.). They have decent bar food, a good beer selection and they're open until 3. If that doesn't work, try Alibi, 23 W Hubbard twhich serves pizza, subs and a limited selection of bottled beer until 4:00 a.m. Hubbard St. is about a block and a half north of the House of Blues.

How about the Underground Wonder Bar, 10 E. Walton... there's other joints open late, but they will usually be open until around 3 or 330am.... around a $3 cab ride from the HOB

The only thing I could come up with is Al's Italian Beef on Ontario. They're open till 3 a.m. A fair amount of bars in that area which might open late.
