Have you eaten at La Cachette for a big party?

Has anyone held a large party (birthday, shower, wedding, anniversary) at La Cachette and had experience with the kitchen's skills in preparing food for a large crowd?

I know La Cachette has a great reputation, but a wedding for 100 people who all want to eat at once, pause for speeches, run around the restaurant, play games, have music, and drink a lot more than usual is very different from a regular night of customers coming in and out, right?

The hostess graciously offered to ask the chef if he could add a few of the typical party menu items to a tasting menu if my fiance and I come in for dinner (on our own dime, of course) so we can see if we like the food.

I would just be more assured if people could tell me if they've had positive or negative experiences using La Cachette for large parties in general. I have other concerns about the space, etc. but am primarily wondering: will the food WOW everyone? I really need the food to wow everyone (mostly people who have little experience with "real" French dining and will mock me mercilessly for not going a more traditional route with wedding planning--rubber chicken in a beautiful hotel, or exquisite Chinese food in a blah setting--if this doesn't turn out amazingly).

We've been to La Cachette several times, sometimes with large groups (80 +) and everything is outstanding. For best results, keep it simple with just a few courses.

Went to an office holiday party here once, and it was actually done very well. Food was great, and the space was beautiful for a festive occasion. I think they did very well serving the large group. . . and the food was very good.
