White chocolate ice cream?

Where can I find white chocolate ice cream? Not chocolate ice cream with white chocolate chips but true white chocolate ice cream. I loved it at Robin Rose (used to be across the street from the Rose Cafe) but they closed eons ago.

Thanks in advance!

  1. Sounds great. I tried it once at Haagen Daz. Not sure if they still make it. Good Luck

    1. I like white chocolate a lot, but I don't think I've ever in my life had good white chocolate ice cream. Whenever I've tried it at different establishments, it has without exception tasted like nothing more than very weak, non-descript vanilla.

Having said that, from my experience there is usually at least one selection at Baskin-Robbins with a foundation of white chocolate ice cream. I think Cold Stone Creamery regularly has white chocolate ice cream as well. And most gelato places I've been to offer white chocolate as a flavor.

      1. Fosselman's carries white chocolate chip ice cream (but I'd call first to make sure they carry it now):

Godiva's White Chocolate with raspberry swirl is one my favorite flavors.

I've also had it at many restaurants, some of which have pastry chefs who make it themselves. I can't think of them right now...but I do recall a fabulous white chocolate mousse on Matsuhisa's specials menu.

        1. Godiva makes it, and you can find it at Gelsons, Bristol Farms, and Mayfair.

Actually, you can find Godiva ice cream at your local Ralphs, Vons, et. al.

          2. Scoops occasionally has white chocolate ice cream, and it's very good.
