First Date Between Columbus Circle & Times Square
I am looking for a quiet & comfortable place to go for a first date. I am looking for a place with easy access to the A Train. The place must allow for easy conversation and a comfortable atmosphere. Light Food & Drinks would be perfect but nothing too exotic. Nothing too fancy as this is just to get to know each other.

I agree with all of the above, with the exceptions of Delta Grill and Chelsea Grill. While Delta Grill does have Abita on tap ($3 happy hour!), they purvey a lot of frozen and ridiculously unauthentic "Cajun" food.
I've never had anything good at Chelsea Grill, except for the fries. The burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches tend to be bone dry, and it's probably too loud for quiet conversation.
I'd add Hell's Kitchen (potentially too loud depending on when your date is), Uncle Nick's ("tapas" room on the North side of the restaurant), Marseilles, and even Kemia if you want more of a lounge-with-lounge-snacks place. If you're willing to hoof it over to Tenth (two avenues from the A), Taboon is wonderful but maybe better for your second or third date.
Let us know how it goes.

My recs would include Whym, Xing, Eatery, Chelsea Grill, El Centro (not great food but not terrible either). I would say definitely 9th Ave as opposed to 8th.
