I received this cookbook as a gift, and I love it. I cooked a few recipes out of it this weekend, and they worked out really well. The recipes are fresh and healthy, and not repeats of Italian classics. They are also not too difficult to execute. It's a beautifully made book, with great reproductions and nice paper. I really like Jamie in general, and I'm just curious about what other people think of him. I caught a few episodes of his show on the travel channel, and I thought they were really intestesting and fun.

I also really like the books - but more for inspirations then the direct recipes. I have found that some of the recipes in the pasta don't seem to be tested too well as if I follow them carefully they don't work.

However, I do have 3 of his books and have made several of the pasta dishes and I LOVE his lamb shanks recipe from the naked chef. (I don't think this is bashing)
