How do you get fish at MOM?

Okay, maybe I'm lame...but I am having the hardest time figuring out how the fish service works at Manila Oriental Market on Mission. There's a ticket machine that's always empty, a now serving sign that always reads "01" and lots of women holding up what look like unnumbered raffle tickets. I've stood in front of the counter, knowing what I want and just waiting for someone to catch my eye (never happens). There's usually just one guy behind the counter and countless customers, all waving their little raffle tickets. Twice now I've waited about 15 minutes, haven't felt any closer to getting my "catch" and left empty handed. I've asked other customers for info but have yet to find someone who speaks English. Please educate me.

Their frozen and dried offerings also seem interesting.

I'm reposting this for you, my friend.
Basically, it's tough the first few times. But once you become a regular, it's a piece of cake. And you can ignore the number system...I always do. :)
You just gotta hustle a bit and grab the guy who's in charge. He'll take care of the rest. Prices are negotiable --- don't tell anybody. :)
