some random spots that i wrote down at one time or another. would love some feedback on the food, the room, ambiance and service. thanks.

Sfoglia is wonderful. Ambiance is rustic Italian farm house. Some grumblings about spotty/snotty service but I have to admit, I experienced nothing but the opposite. Food was about as good as could be expected. For those looking for refined elegance, Sfoglia is not, nor pretends to be this type of restaurant. It is expertly done minimalist approach to rustic Italian fare. And the bread...OHHHHH the bread!!! Top it all of w/reasonable tabs and reasonable corkage and you can understand why the place is next to impossible to get into!

I've not been for a while - but I agree about the bread - perfect - so crusty outside, with a little salt, and then wonderfully airy/chewy inside.

Kyotofu is definitely worth a try, don't think you'll find anything else like it in the city (as long as you don't go for the flourless chocolate cake).

In my view, Devi serves superb Indian food that is far, far from ordinary. Service is efficient, and the large space, on two levels, has unique, elegant decor.
