Horrible looking raw chicken from Whole Foods!
Bought a bunch of chicken breasts last week, and put them in the freezer, and defrosted one package today..and this is what they call their natural chicken breasts, Ray's, I believe...they looked very nice when I picked them out or so I thought, but as I washed them the undersides were full of huge veins that were not butchered properly, and the entire breasts were full of blood--TONS OF IT--and huge thick gloppy veins...absolutely disgusting...I always thought they had one kind of chicken, but then I saw last time I was buying the air chilled,..the guy there told me that those are Bell and Evans, and the others were Ray's---since the Ray's looked the nicest and were over $2 less per pound, I decided to try them..but, no way, is this acceptable----anyone else experience a problem with the quality of these Ray's Breasts at Whole Foods? I'll stick with my regular butcher, as they have the Bell and Evans for $6 a pound..not, $8 as whole foods...

Whole Foods will take back ANYTHING. You should return the chicken.

Whole Foods (Union Sq at least) is deserving of a general Downhill Alert...lots of stale and dried out and spoiled food these days...
